Luxury Cruise Ships of Royal Caribbean (Jewel of the Sea) By Rebecca Robbins

Royal Caribbean launched its first Mega ship in 2000. The ship itself is a spectacle for the eyes. With its offering of Broadway-style shows to entertain you and dining that is an emotion. The explorer has restaurants and lounges to numerous to mention, so here are some highlights.

The main dining room has three levels connected by a wide staircase and each one different yet. Each has a variety of menus to choose from and each has its own specialties.

Exploring the ship itself is an adventure. It even has a shopping center on board. Accommodations match that of all ships with the luxury Royal Suites have a separate bedroom with a king size bed, whirlpool bath, TV with surround sound and entertainment center and a private balcony.

The ship has 15 decks with a wedding chapel on the top directly above the Viking Crown Lounge the observation deck at the top of the nave and the chapel to accommodate up to 40 people.

Eighty percent of homes have on board views of the ocean. The ship has a full Fitness Center, Spa, and Climbing Wall, 3 Pools, 6 dining, theater and a lobby that raises 7 stories high.

Suites and Cabins:

Royal Suite: separate bedrooms, balcony, whirlpool tub, some have Baby Grand Pianos, entertainment center, separate living room, refrigerator, TV, telephone service and access to an additional private lounge.

Owners Suite: luxurious separate lounge with private balcony and mini-bar, jacuzzi, entertainment center, refrigerator, complimentary service, telephone, access to a private lounge TV

Royal Family Suite: two deluxe rooms, two bathrooms, a living room with a sofa bed, telephone, bathroom has a whirlpool, living area is equipped with the same amenities as other suites

Grand Suite: comfortable bedroom and sitting area, television, telephone, and entertainment center with a balcony

Junior Suite: comfortable bedroom with a lounge, TV and telephone, and private balcony

Superior Ocean View Stateroom Balcony: deluxe stateroom with lounge, bar and entertainment center, private bathroom and private balcony TV and telephone vanity

Deluxe Ocean View: Spectacular view of the sky and the sea from a private balcony, small sitting area, private bath, TV,

Restaurants

Dining main culinary delights for

Portofino, Fine Italian food, fresh pasta dishes, seafood and dessert wines

Cafe overlooking the sea: light meals and snacks

Chops Grille: meat and seafood

Windjammer Café: casual with a great buffet breakfast, lunch, dinner or snack

Nightlife:

For a fun filled night to check some of the ships' Hot Spots

Champagne Bar: champagne, canapés and wine and spirits

Vortex Lounge: revolves around the bar inside the chamber of the Viking Crown

Viking Crown Lounge is located in the observation deck and has a full view of the ocean

Fuel nightclub open until 2 am
